Carl's Drive in BBQ

Some guy named Carl decided to open up a drive in BBQ joint. He had a house couple blocks down from his shop and he was making real good business after World War II cause of the economy. His drive in place was just a few miles from where Disney Land is now. Carl heard about some other burger joint sixty miles of Los Angeles, so he went to go check it out. He went to San Bernardino and saw another burger joint with a fat line of people waiting to get their food, guess what the place was called? Mcdonald Brothers Burger Bar Drive-In. These brothers were super rich and had one of the biggest houses in San Bernardino.

  1. Remember you need to add your ideas! At this point in McDonald's history, do you think their food was considered bad for our health? Why or why not? What was different about the food then vs. now?

  2. Alright, during the time McDonald's was not an unhealthy food source. It was just a single family owned business, they actually used quality meat just like other places did. But as the time went on they opened up McDonald's world wide and began to have a big business going on. They had to mass produce their meats and food to have enough food to make their money and feed the customers.

  3. So mass production lowered the quality of the food? Why do you think that happened?
